INSTEON : control your smart home devices with Microsoft's digital voice assistant CORTANA

Finally Microsoft provided INSTEON windows 8.1 app, integrated with Microsoft's voice assistant Cortana on windows 8.1.

Back in may,INSTEON promised to work with Microsoft to facilitate users as apple was going to have integration with INSTEON.

"INSTEON,I AM LEAVING HOME" and all your devices, connected with INSTEON will be closed."INSTEON,I DIDN'T CLOSE THE GARAGE DOOR" with these words,INSTEON will close your garage door for you.you can control thermostat, lights, alarms, doors and other devices with CORTANA .

INSTEON launched its app for windows phones earlier than ios, perhaps increasing popularity of Cortana is one reason behind it .

INSTEON is very old and well established company in home-control market but despite of changing its protocol, company always follow its old technology because of reliability.

Though windows phone is not as much popular as GOOGLE'S Android  is but in some terms,it is far better than ANDROID phones.shaking hands with home-control company may prove good decision as it would draw attention of INSTEON users towards Windows phone.
